Name: Carolyn Kotowski
Hometown: The South Bay, LA, California
Currently Residing: Seattle, Washington
Favorite outdoor activity/hobby: Rock Climbing
Favorite place you have traveled: That's a tough one. I guess the two places I'm most excited to go back and see more are Vietnam and Peru. Next time I'm in Vietnam I want to get a motorbike and bike up the coast stopping along the way. Peru was gorgeous and I love pisco, so I'd want to do some more hiking out there.
Next trip planned: Galapagos! I wanna see a marine iguana and some massive tortoises. Hopefully some manta rays too!
Why you support Aloha for People: Rad shirts, rad people, rad mission. I love that AFP is both a local and international company. The shirts are made right in LA and the fabric is woven in Guatemala.
Favorite Aloha for People pattern/shirt: I love all of the AFP tanks. They're super comfortable and go with anything.
Craziest thing you've ever done: I'm not sure what the craziest thing I've ever done is, but the craziest thing I've ever seen is hands down the total eclipse that just passed through the US. My family took a trip down to middle of nowhere Oregon so we could see the total eclipse and that corona was INSANE. We could watch the shadow approach us on Mount Jefferson and then it was a 360º sunset. I'm going to do my damn best to make it to the one in 2024.
Who/what inspires you: Taking trips and traveling inspire me. Short trips are great to just take a break and have some fun. Long trips are great to really shift your perspective and focus on the experiences you are having rather than the daily grind.
