Nepal is a mountainous country in the middle of the Himalayas region with over 27 million people and is one of the poorest nations in the world. It was devastated by a massive earthquake in April of 2015. This terrible natural disaster destroyed many rural villages and parts of the capital of Kathmandu. Since the earthquake, the country has struggled to recover and has especially had issues with permanent infrastructure. While nearly 80% of the population has access to drinking water, most of it is not safe and only 27% of the population has access to basic sanitation. Aloha for People works to provide these people with access to clean drinking water and safe sanitation.

Using native hand-woven fabric creates jobs for men and women in Nepal

Our fabric comes from the people of Nepal and represents their culture, heritage, and history. Our goal is to employee people in Nepal and allow them to create a better life for their families and future generations.


All of our products are made in California, USA

Aloha for People prides itself on creating jobs in both Nepal and in the United States. All of our shirts and scarves are made in Los Angeles, California where our partner company ensures there are appropriate working conditions and fair wages are paid to all employees.


Every product sold provides a child access to clean water for 5 years

We have partnered with the non-profit organization Wine To Water to help provide water to the people of Nepal. Wine To Water focuses primarily on permanent water solutions and infrastructure in rural villages of Nepal.  They work to build wells and community wide water systems to utilize ground water and educate the community on the importance of clean water and hygiene.
